PRACTICAL INFORMATION

 

FEES


The participation in the Summer School is free.

 

ACCOMMODATION


Accommodation is provided by the Summer School in the student residence Olimpia (Lungo Dora Siena, 104, Turin, in front of the Campus) except for students of the University of Turin.

The check-in date is the 3rd of September (from 2.00 p.m. until late) and the check-out date the 9th of September (until 10 a.m.).

MEALS


Lunch meals are offered for the whole Summer School week (from the 4th to the 8th of September) and will be served at the Campus during the break (at 12.00 p.m.).

Snacks and/or beverages will be available during coffee breaks at 10.30 a.m. - only on Monday at 9.00 a.m. - and 4.00 p.m.

Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are guaranteed.

Breakfast and dinner are not included, however, there is a University canteen (Olimpia) (for dinner) and a student café located near the Campus (Lungo Dora Siena, 102/B, Turin). Moreover, rooms in the student residence are equipped with cooking corners and/or common kitchen areas.

Visiting (non-UNITO) participants who are willing to take advantage of the University canteen's service will be provided with meal coupons which allow to access a reduced fare (3 euros) for each dinner. This includes a main course, a second course, a side dish, bread, fruit and water.

Please, note that on Sunday, the 3rd of September, the canteen will be closed

 

TRAVEL


Travel grants will not be covered by the Summer School.

The Summer School venue can be reached

You can get to the train station Torino Porta Nuova and Torino Porta Susa by bus from

  • the airport Torino Caselle with the shuttle service Arriva.
  • the airport Milano Malpensa with the shuttle service Flibco (only to Torino Porta Susa).
  • the airport Milano Bergamo with the shuttle service Terravision, Orio Shuttle, or Autostradale (only to the train station Milano Centrale, where you can take the train to Turin).

You can get to the Campus Luigi Einaudi by bus from:

  • the train station Torino Porta Nuova with line 68 (direction Borgata Rosa, Via Cafasso); line 6 (direction Val San Martino, Piazza Hermada).
  • the train station Torino Pota Susa with line 19 (direction Vanchiglietta, Corso Cadore).

To calculate route of buses and tramways in Turin you can use Muoversi a Torino.

Please, mind that the Campus Luigi Einaudi does not have an own parking (except for subscribers from the University of Turin), however, the sorrounding area has some white (free) parking spaces.

The centre of Turin is limited to traffic from 7.30 to 10.30 (Zona a Traffico Limitato) and some areas are closed also in other time frames. We recommend to consult Muoversi a Torino before driving to Turin.

 

INTERNET


During the Summer School, the University of Turin will provide free internet connection within the Campus to all participants. The credentials to access wi-fi will be delivered on the first day of the course.

 

CERTIFICATE AND CREDITS 


Participants in the Summer School can be awarded 3 ECTS and/or a certificate upon attendace of at least 80% of the courses' hours.
